Do you have any feelings about Mitt Romney’s annual income for 2010, and the less-than-15% tax rate he paid?

“That means the former Massachusetts governor made about $59,452 every day in that year, dwarfing the median household income of $49,445, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.”

Interesting, thanks! I couldn't get the link to the tax returns open, it just hung with a blue line across my screen. Argh! I'm curious what percentage in tax he paid out of his $1.7 millon or the $980k.

Let's not sell The Great Leader short, he made about $5.5 million last year. Of course, we woun't hear anything from the left on how he can't be in touch with the common man.

Until 2005, the Obamas made between $170,000 to $250,000 a year...certainly not millions. I wonder how long it's been, if ever, that Romney made that little. After all, this is the guy who claimed that $374,000 in speaking fees was "not very much." Har har har.

Did you know that Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg attended Harvard but were unable to complete a degree? Romney seems to be very bright, very hard working, but vulture, er venture capitalism is hardly an inspirational or transformational business model for US exceptionalism.

Obama made over five million dollars, mostly on book sales. I haven't heard him making $10,000 bets, or referring to over $300,000 as not much.

Maybe you have some concrete examples which would show that he's no more in touch with the common woman than Romney.

Well, you know Obama doesn't like ketchup on his burgers. He prefer Dijon mustrd. Elitist Swine. Dijon isn't even American.

"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. You built a factory out there, good for you. But I want to be clear: You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did. Now, look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea, God bless, keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along."

Oh, those poor Obamas! Do you suppose they were on food stamps? I hope they did not have to struggle too much.

I *think* we are to believe that people who make over a certain amount are not capable of empathy, therefore cannot possibly show compassion.... And hand out more of others people's money. Today, we will pick.. Ohh.. 6 million. And we will pretend that the left didn't viciously defend their own candidates when this very subject came up. Now where did I put that that 2000 dollar sun dress I bought yesterday?????
