Just saw a CNN alert that Santorum is suspending his campaign. Anyone disappointed by this? Happy about it? Does this make Mitt the man for the GOP?

I think he's done some damage to the Republican party...the fact that he had so much support for his dated view on the roles/rights of women has awakened the part of the country that doesn't feel that way. On the other hand Romney (like Clinton) may have teflon coattails...otherwise his party would be remembering that he'll flip flop on absolutely everything in order to get elected...I am amazed that he will be the nominee.

Replying to All really:
We are in for four more years of Obama. It is what it is...just now praying that Republicans can take control of both the Senate and House. There are no good choices for me, and I see our country getting Obama and going more downhill in the next four years. Sad. I didn't love Santorum either, but wanted Cain, so I have to decide what to do come election time. The key is do those of us unhappy vote for a 3rd party and throw away any chance of getting Obama out, or do we vote for the lesser of two evils.

Yes, I think this does mean Mitt will get the GOP unless HE drops out (unlikely)... Santorum made his mark though and I think we'll see more of him in other areas, He was an unheard of before all this.

He took step backs before like when his DD was in the hospital.. Maybe the costs of the campaign had something to do with it too but not entirely.

It's kind of cool actually. Perry, Santorum, and Bachman were all persuaded they were led by God to enter the race. If they were, I can only conclude that God wants Obama to have another four years. What can I do but bow before divine revelation? God truly works in mysterious ways.

Well, looks like the republican establishment got it's way. Instead of a solid conservative that held strong, solid beliefs in family and the constitution, we have the moderate that has some beliefs that are solid, at least since that last time he changed them.

But, the good news is that he has a chance, because he's going against a president with an absolutely horrible record. Unemployment, gas prices, the economy, Iran, healthcare, the debt, etc, etc...

"Resist, we much. We must, and we much. About that, be committed."

I remember the heat John Edwards got for campaigning while his wife was fighting cancer.. What an idiot, I find that completely repulsive. The man deserves jail time for what he did financially speaking too.

Anne Romney has MS as well.
