The Patriot Act was a result of 9/11 and it has protected the safety of our country ever since. What threats exist that require an HHS mandate, gay marriage legalization? Social issues and The Patriot Act were/are not the same thing, apples and oranges.

Best start reading the proposals being made in every state house across this country.

The right has long possessed a hypocritical record on this 'big government' thing. It only wants a government that redirects its bigness to the things of interest to the right.

" It's okay to have Patriot Acts"
Your crew in DC has doubled down on the Patriot Act. Did you know a huge data center is about to be completed outside of Salt Lake City to store and analyze information on private citizens.
Attorney General Eric Holder signed guidelines Thursday that, among other things, expand from 180 days to five years the time the National Counterterrorism Center may keep private information about Americans not suspected of having ties to terrorism,

How so?

Take a look at what actually happened in the third quarter of 2008. Take a look at those sweating heads of Treasury and the Fed (that's during the Bush presidency, btw.) Take a look at the news from then, and the analyses. Our economy wasn't just headed for the Great Depression, it was headed for the Neanderthal Age. And in such a situation, that means all wealth would have been eviscerated - gone.

Which is why I keep trying to point out to ya'all on the right that social stability is vital to wealth creation and maintenance. Because you were this close to total anarchy. Credit Bush and Obama both, for acting.

"Obama is very much about big government and control... "
Judging from the comments here, as long as they have free BC, abortion on demand and Gay marriage, the left is happy. Sad really.
This is what the left has created, meanwhile our debt grows.

So you go into wars when I post about ten years of no increases. I believe that is long term as you suggested. How quick you are to change the topic.

I know of no health offering that remained static across an entire decade. Either coverage, premiums, or the number of participants changed. Any insurer who offered such would bloat into the largest in the industry and would lose their shirt. I'm sorry, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

"As are claims to the contrary, but the evidence suggests you err."
How so?
