I lurk on this board but never before posted. Maybe once or twice before the election. Has anyone seen this blog and this website?

If you take a few hours--and you WILL need a few hours--you will come away with serious doubts about ANYTHING that Palin has ever claimed to be true about the birth of Trig. Whether you love her or can't stand her, I defy anyone to dispute either one of these things:
1) Either she lied about having the baby
OR
2) She did have the baby and took so many risks, completely disregarding the health and safety of her baby and many other people that she is about as reckless and crazy as anyone this country has ever seen.
So--the net of this entire "Who is the mother of Trig" question is this---either way--Palin CANNOT be trusted.

~It is the craziest and most unsafe birth story I've ever
I find it a very odd question "Why would a pro-lifer have an amnio?"
Pro-life doesn't mean anti-information. Pro lifers take pregnancy tests so they know they're pregnant and can care for their health accordingly. Pro lifers get AFP tests, blood tests, and have amnios for the purposes of getting as much information about the human life growing inside them as they can possibly have while it is still inside them. There are other reasons for having an amnio other than as a litmus test for deciding to abort a baby--there is an enormous amount of genetic information that the amnio offers to parents that would cost thousands of dollars to access after a baby is born. Amnio is a diagnostic medical procedure, not a pre-abortion filter.
If I've misunderstood your question, please clarify. It just seems you assume only pro-choice pregnant women have amnios because they want to assure themselves they are going to have a perfect baby, and to avail themselves of their right to terminate if they aren't. I'm just pointing out that this is a very limited and false set of assumptions about the majority of women who choose (or whose doctors either strongly recommend or require) an amnio. Plenty of women have amnios or other tests, learn their baby will have a genetic defect, and give birth to the child. It's not a precursor to abortion in every case where a defect is shown.
No offense meant--honest mistake. And your post is right on. Seems we agree that information is probably the #1 reason for having amnio, not just abortion planning. And some might not realize that your amnio doesn't just provide the baby's parents with information, it provides your healthcare provider with information that will help them to provide your care more effectively in many cases. That's why so many doctors strongly encourage some of these tests--they are better prepared in case of a challenge or risk to the baby, and the proper team can be assembled and prepared in advance of the birth. That's the only reason I'd even consider it.
Well, we at least know that Bristol Palin is NOT Trig's mom since she had the baby on Sunday, December 28.
That's where I saw it...sorry I forgot to post the link!
