Scared? Afraid?

I have read several posts where people say they are scared if either McCain or Obama wins.

ASSUMING that most posters have a belief/faith to their God of choice, why are you scared?

Yes, the U.S is currently a mess and may get worse under EITHER administration, but next January, there will still be your faith and your God, who will be the ONE who gets you through.

For Christians who say that you are afraid, doesn't the word say that we are to fear nothing but God himself?

I understand, concern for the welfare of you and yours, but scared?

EVERYDAY we are under the possible terroist attack here at home, but are you scared on a daily basis about it - yes concerned but scared?

EVERYDAY there is a possibility that you or your SO may lose a job, but is that one your mind as heavily as Scary Obama and Scary McCain?

EVERYDAY there is a possibility

Our state just announced major cuts to the state university system - making it harder for future high school graduates to go to college - which means less economic gains as they will have lower earning potential which translates to less tax income - brilliant plan.

Our state as also just announced cuts to the prison system - which I'm not even sure how that will play out - the county will have to pick up the cost so that means less money for other county needs - which will most likely result in cuts to the county education budget as well. We can't very well not feed inmates so the county residents will pick up the tab.

The war needs to end so the money can go elsewhere.

"This may be a bit personal, but would you instill fear in your children?"

Since the crisis, I don't think either have proven themselves very strong.

Well then we had better send them to Paris, Rome, Madrid, China, Canada, and any other country that houses a terrorist cell.

"Personally having them here protecting us HERE sounds like a heck of a better idea."

>>Although I do agree that they are in the wrong country to fight, they do need to stay over there to continue to find terrorists in Afghanistan/Pakistan. <<

How odd then that you support McCain, rather than the candidate who wants troops in Afghanistan rather than Iraq -- just as you do.

I have heard the argument that many of the "public" security steps we've seen (taking off our shoes at the airport), as much to ease people's minds than to actually protect the public.

I think one of the failures of this administration is the DHS, and the government structure as a whole.
