I don't really like the idea. I think it would not only be more difficult for the child but their parents as well.

I think that if a school went to a 4 day week then school should be year-round.

I worked in a district that contemplated this -- so seriously that we got our local legislator to sponsor a bill in our state assembly (necessary as CA requires a 180 day school year).

As a parent, I would love it too. The energy savings would be great too, of course!

I agree, selfishly that is one of the reasons that I wouldn't want a 4 day schedule :)
