Maybe you need a trip to Colonial Williamsburg. You want things as they were back then? You can step back in time and see how the Dr.s operated back then. You could even have a mastectomy without anesthesia! to cure your fever they did what was called "bloodletting" OH, and you could go to the Medicine/Pharmacy store to see the "drugs" they used way back then.
"under the 14th amendment because parent's would be taking right's away from children. The 14th amendment protects and cannot deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of laws. We are defending the children's right and not the parent's right to not educate a child."
Hmmmmm....i'll need to remember this one for another debate I have on the IV boards about infant male's rights vs. their parents....
"based on patient surveys on the quality of care received."
That actually says a lot, when you think about who is getting the VA care. Too bad active duty members and their families can't seem to get the same level of "outstanding" service.
"The Pharmaceutical companies are running the show IMHO.."
I agree Janet. I'm not kidding when I say the doctor that I did pain management billing for would sometimes get a 300% profit margin on some of the most common drugs. If he was getting a 300% profit, can you imagine how much the pharma company was getting!?
"Another thing that irriates me is why do 18 year olds get to vote? you shouldn't be allowed to vote unless you are a taxpayer! And half the 18 years olds today are still living with mommy or at college, either way they don't have jobs and are not paying taxes, why do they get to choose how my taxes will be spent? Anyone ever think of that?"
Ever think that 18 year olds serve and die for this country. A vote (and a beer, IMO) is the least we can give them.
To everyone else....and you thought *I* was a heartless conservative! :D
