I know 2 people in their 40's that have liens placed on their homes by medical providers.

All I know is that Children are REQUIRED to get some form of schooling, either public, private or homeschooled until the age of 17, at least that is the case in Pa. In the lower grades a parent can be sent to JAIL for not having their child attend school,or not having excuses for their absences if it is over a certain number of days in a month that aren't LEGAL excuses. Schools can require Dr.s notes after so many absences, I know that for a FACT, at least in PA.

Maybe the US should adopt the European model then. You don't pass you O and then A levels and you don't move on to higher ed.

It is truly a shame when people feel that others shouldn't have health care if they can't afford it.

I remember living in TN and having the local paper publish an article about several middle class families who lost everything due to medical costs and everyone of them had medical insurance.

They have seen the doctor's in other countries with all getting a standard pay increase, government dictating what they can provide, how much to charge for it, etc...

I am sure that the letters posted are going to affect people's minds in who to vote for in the upcoming election.
