You stated 'Everyone would benefit'....My DH and I both work and have insurance through our companies, we both have supplemental insurance if those fall through....

Again, you said everyone and I am not seeing how in the world I would benefit....With every raise I would pay a percentage, so everytime I make a higher salary, I am paying more money into a system.

NewsFlash- Ins. companies take their good old time in paying Dr.s also. Dr.s only get a percentage of their normal fees. Many times they wait several months to be paid from the ins companies. Didn't you know that? Just for kicks and giggles, ask your Dr. next time you go and pay your co-pay, ask what percentage he/she will get back from Ins company when they file. I know for a FACT that the allergist my son used to go to his fee was 130.00. a visit, you paid a co-pay say,10.00, the dr would get 60.00 back from the ins. If
