BO took it a step farther by (planning to) increasing taxes to one group, while reducing taxes to the rest...to further "spread it around
That's not entirely correct.

Can you name someone who was "run off" as opposed to being required to leave due to TOS violations? How exactly were they "run off" or "chased away"?

as i said in the post you are refering to ....
I don't feel like digging up evidence, so take it for what you want...it was my feeling...
but if you still must know more....
i remember someone that was here right before karen started....i forget her name
she (IMO) was picked on, and didn't come back
then when karen first introduced herself (no chance to offend yet) some people made a big issue of the baby in her avitar, claiming she was an imposter...
that's 2
and delphine...

it just seems (as i said before IMO...and i don't feel like digging up evidence) that people do try to run down / run off people they don't agree with.

I agree no one was forced but don't forget that those very wealthy people have much more clout and power in government policies and use lobbies
I totaly agree with you!
i hate what these big stores have done to mom and pop stores.
i also think that consumers played a big role in it...
given the choice, they go cheap, not taking into account what that meant for the little guy.
a conversation i had with my mom is a gooddexample....we were shopping together for window blinds...
she was moaning about how poorly treated the laborers were who put the blind together (made in china)....but she still went for the cheapest blind....(made in china)
i told her that if she didn't like the corporate practices, she shouldn't reward them by purchasing thier products....
she said...but it's the cheapest (she is very frugal)
so it isn't the perfect example...but it shows that some consumers will go for the cheapest option....giving those big stores business.

"BUT...i think BO took it a step farther by (planning to) increasing taxes to one group, while reducing taxes to the rest...to further "spread it around"..."
I think the general idea is to offset what has happened over the last 8 or so years - the wages of the upper class have kept up with inflation, while those of the middle class have not.
