How do explain that I don't know a single person who voted for Obama who would qualify for any earned income tax credits?

"I think you will understand it ( I don't mean this rudely) if you take some sociology classes, some economics classes, political science classes

"You can tell someone is lazy by how the shop at the store? What kind of OB's office do you go to that has people addicted to drugs? I thought you lived out in the middle of no where. I live by a really poor community and see none of the things you are talking about. "

Sorry, I'm putting money away for my kids education. And I won't take money from the government to expand my education, I'm half way through my life, make good money and am content the way I am thank you. >>

wow just wow. Hopefully that holds true for everyone during these economic times, I'm a hiring manager and I can't even consider candidates with less than a four year degree because there are so many candidates, I never even get to see their resumes. I'm betting as the economy worsens and more jobs are lost and there are more people out looking for work this will become more of the norm for companies. I'm thinking working towards an education and bettering ones self would be the best way to use public assistance. Our neighboring state Maryland requires welfare recipients to attend some form of school (paid for by the state) while they are on the welfare books - I think that is a wonderful program.

I finished my B.S degree while on active duty and completed my Master's using the GI BIll immediately following leaving the military. I am proud to have used all of the assistance afforded to veterans of our great military to ensure that I could not only help myself and my family but can afford to be generous with those who have not been afforded the opportunities that I was.

"You'll probably report me for this (like you or someone did for me wondering how you gained an understanding that one can both be on public assistance AND wear $100 tennis shoes), "
