that's why i said it is fine to talk about those things, but for her to not get upset when i chose not to stray on that tangent.

i take discussions on tangents myself, but i don't hound the people who chose not to stray with me, or claim that they don't care about the topic that the tangent was regarding.

Oh, most definitely. I worded that poorly, as there are obvious differences between the two. I would also argue that their motives for cheating are far different as well.

it is different because i was discussing my thoughts on how i feel that so many people would benefit from managing thier money in a different way, and i was talking about how if some people on aid spent less on non-essentials there would be more for those who need the help with essentials....

so it is different because my ideas i was discussing do not deal with the same issues that cause CFOs to do dishonest things.

it is a different mindset that leads to the different types of waste, and it is a different strategy that would need to be implemented to reduce the different types of waste / fraud.

right, i said that corporate WASTE does not drain society's dollar, and it seems you agree.

corporate tax fraud does....and i agree, but chose not to discuss it because i wanted to continue my thoughts on individuals.

And if those individuals involved with corporate cheating would quit stealing millions, perhaps billions from tax payers, this country would have more money with which we could implement better techniques for preventing welfare fraud. If you want to discuss individuals making smarter financial decisions, it seems ludicrous to leave out those at the top that are stealing billions from us.
