I never said we couldn't discuss both. You are the one who said that you weren't going to go off on a tangent by discussing corporate fraud. Then you said you weren't going to discuss it because you are talking about individual waste. It's been pointed out that corporate fraud is individual fraud and that, in regards to fraud, it makes sense to discuss both welfare abuse and corporate abuse. In this thread, I have discussed both issues. You keep saying that the two aren't "mutually exclusive" while you continue to exclusively discuss welfare abuse.

I also agree that corporate waste does cost society. It costs the workers of that company because they are unable to be paid more due to the waste. They also could be missing out on better benefits and retirement packages because of it.

I dont' think that we should say, poor cable company, let's give them money we don't have jstt so they can survive.>>

-i think this is something we are just going to have to disagree on. in regards to welfare or corporations, i'm much more concerned about fraud than i am trying to determine whether a new pair of sneakers is a luxury or a waste or reasonable.

right, i do prefer to discuss welfare abuse, but not at the expense of discussing comporate abuse...meaning.....I don't tell someone else that they can't talk about corporate abuse because there is welfare abuse to talk about...(as some seem to be suggesting to me)

and I didn't mean that it was

I'm sorry if you feel that you are being told not to discuss welfare abuse b/c that certainly is not the case. There is no reason why you can't discuss welfare abuse but you seemed to be ignoring comments regarding corporate abuse (even within posts discussing welfare and corporate abuses simultaneously) which is why I accused you of glossing over the issue.

"Does that mean that you consider yourself at the same level as those 'drug addicts', 'prostitutes', and 'liberal wackos' that you speak of?
