The newly elected democrat governor of Hawaii, in his campaign, and trying to use this as a poke at "birthers", said he was going to do all that he could once in office to

I don't have a "hospital" birth certificate nor does anyone in my family. We all have a "certificate of live birth," just like the president. He has produced that, but the birthers aren't happy.

As far as the governor of Hawaii, he was foolish to go on and on about producing documents when the privacy laws are very clear that he in fact wouldn't legally be allowed to do so.

to me part of what makes this a chin scratcher is that this "idiot politician" is a member of the president's party and a family friend of his PARENTS. He said he was going to do this to HELP PBO. So, he starts to look into it when he is sworn into office, and this is what he finds and tells the press.

Those who think they have something on this front have had, in my opinion, their cause helped by this man's investigation, what it turned up, what was said, and what isnt available for the public. To them, this isnt so ho-hum. Amazing to me also is the fact that this gets no mention or coverage on broadcast media.

Actually, my sister was born in the province of quebec who at the time, issued only long form birth certificates....which she has lost. We have a copy of her baptismal certificate....but no one can lay their hands on her birth certificate, not even the province. Doesn't mean that she wasn't born there or that at one time the certificate didn't exist (it did).

As I see it, nothing (and I mean NOTHING) will convince the birthers that Obama is a legitimate citizen....however, it wouldn't take much to be able to "confirm" their already ridiculous, bigotted, paranoid assumptions....So....in answer to your question....the governor's actions (to date) has not helped in the fight against the birthers....but I don't believe anything ever will. If any more concrete evidence comes out confirming that Obama was born in the USA to be added to the evidence that already exists.....It will be written off as a forgery, a liberal plot, a communist socialist plot, a long-term plan that started with the birth announcement that appeared in the Hawaiian paper back in 1961. Obviously, the African goat herder and his loony liberal wife (along with various officials in Hawaii who lied to support this elaborate plot) were so certain that this bi-racial offspring would grow up to be president one day that the first order of business was to put out a fake birth announcement in an American newspaper.

I think the birthers should spend some time pouring over all birth announcements to ensure that there aren't any more non-citizens (who aren't lily white) being groomed as president as we speak. Obama wasn't the only one you know....the country is riddled with potential desposts being groomed from birth to take down the country either as president,

Has anyone claimed that Obama's is lost?

Well, it actually HAS been produced. I just used the example of my sister losing hers (and the Quebec government being unable to produce another) that there are other possiblilites other than the simplistic conclusion of "born here or not born here".....Since a ceritificate that would satisfy the birthers

IMO, it was a misguided wasted political effort in response to the "birthers" and a waste of time & breath, dragging up something that was already long settled and didn't need him stirring that dead political pot all over again. What a total waste of time! (And, hey, maybe that's why the media isn't wasting any more time on it? question.gif They know it's a dead issue.) Our President was vested when he ran and won the election and took office. Get over it, I say! Good grief, the man has been President for two years already! Time to move on!

Do you believe Obama was born in Hawaii and is a U.S. citizen?

Oh come on! You're:smileywink: a transexual (which also would automatically exclude you from being presidential material)
