The fact that marriage is and always will be between a one man and

Do you honestly believe we don't change definitions and traditions when people become aware of inequality and injustice? We used to have a tradition wherein only men (white ones, even) had the right to vote. Should we not have changed that because it was, after all, a "long-standing tradition"? Heck, even slavery was a "tradition." But I guess we shouldn't have messed with it, since it was "long-standing." Also, marriage was once defined as only valid between two people of the same race -- should we not have changed that? Boy, I'd have to get a divorce after 15 years of marriage!!
I looked up the Samaritan woman thing, since you refuse to answer my question except with a mysterious reference to her that you won't explain. I don't know why you're replying to everyone's questions except the one I've asked about whether it should be illegal for women to remarry after divorce. It says so in the Bible, you know. And Jesus's words to the Sanaritan woman do not clarify your position on this. I'm just trying to understand why it seems ok to you to outlaw gay marriage and not other forms of marriage that are inappropriate according to the Bible. Will you answer this? I'm curious because I have lots of family members who feel as you do and they can't explain it either. You seem to have given it a lot of thought, so maybe you can.
No doubt about it.
Your argument about marriage always being between a man and a woman as a reason for keeping it that way sounds suspiciously like pro-slavery arguments prior to the civil war.
