Why is it a tax cut when McCain cuts taxes?

Since those people's wages are not keeping up with inflation, they are hurt the most in this economy and will be the most likely to put it back into the economy.

So, would you be less mad if we gave back huge tax cuts to the top tier while they are also getting a bail out?

And we know what the wealthy will do with theirs when people have been believing they will trickle it down and it hasn't?

So what I have gathered so far from this thread and others is that...tax cuts for low earners are welfare.....EITC is welfare....stimulus checks are welfare...so what else is welfare according to some? Are tax deductions welfare too? I mean John McCain wants to double the child tax deduction from 3.5 k to 7k....is that welfare for those with children? I'm honestly interested in the opinions of those who claim so much of our tax code is welfare.

I can only speak for myself of course, but to me, any money that is recieved in excess of what was paid in, is indeed a form of welfare.
