<<Easy to say when you're redistributing someone else's wealth...>>
How do you know that my family's income is less than $250,000? You would only know that b/c I chose to share that information. But even if we did make more than that I would still choose to vote for Obama b/c I think he's the best choice for America at this time. If I were voting for Obama b/c I thought he was going to give me a bunch of money then that would just be selfish. But if I made over $250,000 and I chose not to vote for Obama b/c I thought he was going to take some of my money then that would be selfish too. I personally don't think it's right to vote for purely selfish reasons. And btw, there are plenty of people on this board who do make more than $250,000 and are voting for Obama.

Thank you,
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.
Taxation becomes theft when the moneys are put to a use other than for the common good.
So, for example, defense, a police force, a judiciary, are all "for the common good" - i.e., there is no benefit that accrues to a specific individual or group.
Transfer payments of any sort - where the government is propping up something or someone at the expense of others - constitute theft.
If you stop for a moment and think, is it really all that bad? Why shouldn't those that have more, pay their fair share? Their increase really will not be all that much, especially to someone who CAN afford it. Even at the top of the tax scale, it comes out to something like $1.61 a day more under Obama than under McCain/Bush.
Besides, why should the middle class pay for the Gucci shoes and Prada bags of the rich? Tell me how it is
"Taxation becomes theft when the moneys are put to a use other than for the common good."
Who are you to judge what is for the common good?
