At least Obama is telling us exactly what his philosophy of government actually.

I made a distinction for those employers making over $250,000 every single year.
Wowza.
I think you are reading an awful lot into a question I asked. You might consider reading further in the thread to see the civilized dialogue between absintheofmalice and myself regarding my original question. It will give you some nice examples of how we can discuss issues on this board without the use of all caps, exclamation ponts, or rude remarks. I am sorry that you are bitter over your current tax situation, but I'm not here to be your punching bag.
After liberals, teachers, unions and the lazy money sucker on welfare have bled us dry you want more.
All I can say is wow.
I agree with you, I'm sick of the spending and waste. Debra Norvell reported on the fraudulent trips members of Congress take with taxpayer money, usually under the guise of some official business that never takes place, i.e. the Galapagos islands trip.
And I too am sick of supporting those who work the system for freebies. Do you have any idea how many illegals in the US take advantage of free health care ((courtesy of the ER dept)? How about the illegals who send their kids to our schools and don't pay a dime in taxes? And trust me, the government, even when given notice of specific illegals DO NOTHING.
I don't want to pay any more in taxes. And the truly super rich (celebs and the like) are masters of tax loopholes, etc. There will be only two classes left, the super rich and the rest of us.
I'm sorry but I don't have the answers to your questions. I don't set the tax brackets nor do I determine the tax rates. When I said, "When you reach a certain level of comfort there is nothing wrong with paying more." I was actually using McCain's words.

I'm with you. When the news of the AIG posh trip came out I thought that what the members of congress were really upset about is that they weren't invited.
Where in my post did I talk about welfare?
I think there's far too much waste in everything the government touches. You're preaching to the choir. That's one reason I'm voting for McCain. He's plans to trim wasteful spending and he's proven he can make a little money go a long way.
No mom, there are different lessons to be learned...
With regard to the Big Dig, the lesson is that when you have government taking care of it's croneys, the taxpayer gets screwed.
