I never knew that I could agree more with people that have so much money, influence, and talent.

"This woman hates women. She is not a feminist. She is not the woman that's going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would've been capable of.... I can't imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She's not of this time. The woman terrifies me."
-- Pink to PopEater

"As someone who has spent over 40 years advocating on behalf of women both politically and philanthropically, as someone who was a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton and as someone who cares deeply about the health and welfare of all women, hear me Senator McCain: This calculated, cynical ploy to pull away a small percentage of Hillary's women voters from Barack Obama will not work. We are not that stupid!
-- Barbara Streisand, on her blog

I think theres a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president, and I think thats a really scary thing, 'cause I dont know anything about her -- I dont think in eight weeks Im going to know anything about her. I know that she was a mayor of a really, really small town and shes the governor for Alaska for less than two years. I just dont understand. I think the pick was made for political purposes.... Do the actuary tables and theres a 1 out of 3 chance, if not more, that McCain doesnt survive his first term and itll be President Palin . Its like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom, you know, Oh, Im just a hockey mom and shes facing down President Putin . Its totally absurd . Its a really terrifying possibility.
-- Matt Damon, Associated Press

"At first I thought Sarah Palin was some kind of Republican pandering -- a misguided attempt to woo Hillary voters over to the dark side, as if they believed women voters were so stupid that they would vote for anyone in a skirt, but now I see that she is much, much worse. I have nothing against hockey moms -- I just dont want to be one. If Sarah Palin had her way, she would take away that right not to be a mom. She wants to outlaw abortion -- so to call her a feminist is as laughable as calling evangelicals Christians. They shouldnt have the right to call themselves Christian, for they have no Christ-like attributes."
-- Margaret Cho, on her blog

"It's amazing that a woman has come that far. But from what I know about her, her policies are not things I agree with."
-- Meg Ryan, during a press junket for "The Women"

I agree.
Re: your last point, I'd like to add that organizations often mention to the press the largesse of a philanthropic donor because it can lead to first-time and increased donations from others, such as fans, business rivals, etc..
As an aside, I used to work in the head office of a well known charity.
Understood.

I always thought it was the job of the Supreme Court to decide these things... you know, make the laws. Last I checked the President, much less his VP, can't come in and change the Supreme Court ruling... checks and balances and all...
Just because a women doesn't agree with abortion doesn't mean she can come in and change the law on it...

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

"I'm not bitter just tired of hearing opinions from worthless people."
Your opinion is worth something, right?
