Has anyone else heard that the outspoken sheriff, the one who is out front politicizing the shooting, might be trying to cover up the fact that his dept has had run ins with the suspect in the past...including reports of the shooter making threats on the lives of more than one person in the past? The sheriff assured the citizens that the suspect was being well managed in the mental health agencies of the county and that filing charges wouldn't help the citizens. Also that the suspect's mom is a county employee...if that is the case how might this have influenced the dept's decisions not to press charges? If a felony charge had been brought against this mad man, would he have been able to purchase that gun? Does the sheriff maybe have cause to worry that he needs to cover his own rear end? Hmmmm, I was wondering why this man was so out front in his placing of blame...unusual for a law enforcement position. Maybe this makes sense......

I'm sorry. It seems quite black and white to me. It is a political issue when a politician gets shot. I'm not sure what is vague about that.

Do you have a different meaning for "political"?

What is it that is so hard for people to understand that?

Reading his posts would most definitely point to some sort of mental disorder, I am not a psychologist so no diagnosis from me. I think he needs help and I am hoping he gets it.

Republican's tried to do the same thing. Why is it only disgusting when the "other side" does something.

Not excusing his behavior. He needs to be held accountable for his actions.

That's very vague. Can you be more specific. Was she shot because she is a politician? Was she shot because she is a liberal politician? ....... One can go many ways with the word political. Where I work it is very 'political", but it has nothing to do with politics as in liberal and conservative.

And even though he has admitted to having no evidence he hasn't stopped. I just saw where he also said that this "had to do with Limbaugh". http://realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/01/11/az_sheriff_dupnik_no_doubt_limbaugh_hate_talk_radio_had_to_do_with_shooting.html
And this is a man that refused to follow AZ immigration law b/c he didn't agree with it. Talk about being political in a partisan party sense
