Do you favor it because of all the potential good that can come from it?

Are you against it because of the use of human embryos?

Would you favor in the cases where embryonic stem cells are not used?

Let's talk some issues.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

LOL that was me.

seriously, why would you think Obama is more likely to take away guns than McCain is to overturn Roe v. Wade? one decision in the Supreme Court would be soooo much easier to abolish abortion rights than a bajillion cases that would be needed to negate the 2nd amendment. is there even a Supreme Court case that comes close regarding gun laws?

and closing clinics and prosecuting providers would be sooo much easier than going door-to-door to pick up weapons that people don't want to give you. oh yea, who wants that job.

Gun rights vs abortion is an apples to oranges comparison. Besides, there was a previous ban on AK47's - I presume you still have your guns though, right?

Again, a ban on handguns has already taken place in large cities as in DC, so please don't tell me it can't happen.

The DC handgun ban was recently over turned as well.

I understand that you just want this off-topic discussion to die but I wanted to say that I never meant to upset you. You'd probably be very surprised to know that I agree with you on certain points and that actually gun control is the one issue where I would be considered conservative. I agree with you that many gun control measures hurt law-abiding citizens more so than criminals. To be honest if gun control was the only issue that I was using to determine who to vote for then I would be voting for McCain but there are other issues that are far more important to me. I have chosen to vote for Obama due to his stance on the issues that matter to me and I respect your right to chose an issue that is important to you and vote accordingly. But please remember to treat other posters, and their political choices,
