I read an article this am about how he wants to do it thru payroll vs a stimulus check ..... gave an example of how a worker getting paid every 2 weeks would see an increase of 60.00 per pay period

i like the plan. i hope it works. i actually like the tax refund will come in increments, i think it has a greater chance of working that way. if i get a large amount of money i'm more likely to throw it to my bills. but if i get a smaller amount of money i'm likely to spend it. maybe thats just me though.

I am so glad that PE Obama sees all of this and is willing to "change" his plans from his original Ideas.

I think its a bit of a challenge to sell "we need to stimilate the economy and you folks who can't make ends meet being able to pay your bills won't do it, so I'm going to give money to the weathy so they'll go get their car washed and spend serious money at the spa."

I would have to agree with you. Those who get the big tax rebate (the ones who don't even make what they get back) spend all of the money on things they can't afford during the year. Some of the parents in my child care got up to$7,000.00 back last year (only made $11,000.00 which kind of pisses me off-but O'well) and spent it all on things for their car, TV's, clothes, and going out to eat...etc! To me, those with more money are not struggling as much so they are MORE likely to get their nails down, get their homes cleaned, buy a new boat. Most of my friends who work with/ for high end clients have seen little, if any, change in their clientele.

i think that is a good idea...especially if the renovations make a home or business more energy efficient.

<>

i agree... it doesnt sound like it he is going to make that concession, though.
