New York Dolls, one of two strip clubs located within blocks of the World Trade Center site.

After the World Trade Center towers fell, a stripper named Chris went to volunteer in the recovery effort for the Red Cross.

Those people who live and work in that neighborhood shouldn't get a say either way. Some relatives of those lost on 9-11 are offended by the proposed community center (with mosque). I wonder if those same relatives are offended by strip clubs and gambling parlors. I wonder if the entire area should be cleared out to make room for respectable businesses like Christian bookstores. Then those construction workers in the area could buy inspirational reading materials that they could read while eating their falafal. Yes...lunch of falafal and Left Behind books, now that sounds more like it.

You made the implication, so the links would be in your responsibility.

Do you have evidence that Park51 is linked to 9/11 directly or indirectly?

~They did have something like 18 thousand dollars...~

Just curious - what is your source for that information?

Certainly my implication has more relevance

When I look at who brought up these "questions" or "concerns" initially, what seems odd to me is how many people believe that stuff.

I don't find it odd - I think in the political climate that we have today it is pretty clear why there are so many questions and why they are being raised by the people who are raising them. The only question I have is who is going to define just how 'hallowed' this ground should be and how far out it's boundaries should be - too hallowed for a Muslim community center but not too hallowed for strip clubs. I wonder in how many cultures that could be said with a straight face?

Well, gambling and strip joints have historically been associated with organized crime which is a significant threat to society.

But religious institutions, including mosques, are suspect just because? If you have any evidence, please post.

If this is a radical proposal, please provide supporting evidence. I'll be right there with you to shoot this down.
