How many deaths each year are caused by knives? A knife's main purpose isn't to cause harm. A handgun's (or any gun for that matter) sole purpose is to cause harm.
Yeah the whole 'guns kill' argument makes me want to gag. Knives kill too (and so do baseball bats and may other blunt objects) but I don't see anyone trying to outlaw them.
Oh wait...hold on...that'll be coming any time now.
Read my response above concerning knives. I find it extremely ironic that *many* of those who think that 10,000 deaths a year is an okay price to pay for the "right" to bear arms, but are just fine and dandy when the Patriot Act takes away rights in the name of protecting lives.
Like I said, I will now work for a Constitutional Amendment. I do not believe in the inherent right for individuals to carry firearms.

Nope, just the stupid people that use these wepons.
I thought libs didn't like taking away rights???
Gosh then the people in PA would only have religion to cling to if their guns would be taken away ;)
I don't like people's lives being taken. I abhor violence
No one wants to see any innocent person shot and killed but the Constitution should be upheld.
So.. if people start killing others with knives, how can we outlaw those?
Sure...guns kill people. But so do a million other things.
Guns also are used to hunt/provide food.
