first, let me say thanks for making me think and work harder to understand these issues.

in the thread "what about the issues?", auntanna shared a link to a comparison of tax plans.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2008/06/09/ST2008060900950.html

while i understand the difference it makes in my household, does either of the plans make a huge difference in yours? LOL without revealing your household income, of course.

and more importantly - if you and i think beyond my own household - how significant is difference in the impact on the country from your POV, assuming that both candidates continue the war?

There's a significant difference for my household - Obama's plan would give us quite a break.

McCain will cut more social programs, probably from social security. Yep, he says he will not increase taxes, he will just cut more from those who are the least able to afford the cuts. So that's how he will get around it. McCain and the Republicans make me sick.

Oh, the conservative attitude was what I was referring to. there are plenty of hard working people who make 30,000 and less, and thse making less than 100,000 who are profesionals. If it wasn't for skilled trades people and other professionals, the wealthy wouldn't have anybody to do their work for them.
