Found this summary on the Obama Facebook page but I checked out the website and the summary is accurate according to the nonpartisan Tax policy Center.
The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center found that Mr. Obama's plan would amount to a tax cut for 81 percent of all households, or 95.5 percent of those with children. The center calculated that by 2012 the Obama plan would let middle-income taxpayers keep about 5 percent more income on average, or nearly $2,200 a year, while Mr. McCain would give them an average 3 percent break, or about $1,400. The richest 1 percent would pay an average $19,000 more in taxes each year under Mr. Obama's plan but see a tax cut of more than $125,000 under Mr. McCain.

I understand your point.
MONTANA MOM !
MONTANA MOM !
By continuing to take care of them teaches them nothing except how to sit on their butts and wait for the next check to come their way!!!!
So, you think that anyone who needs aid or help is just a lazy worthless piece of crap?
But I have to say this, we wouldn't be in the predicament we are today if we didn't
>>I'll tell you what I think is nuts and that is wealthy people who will be making over $600,000 complaining about someone making $18,000 being able to keep an extra $500.00 dollars (under McCain's plan a whooping $19.00).<<
Now that's funny. Considering most people making $18,000 already get to keep everything they earn. Most people think that everybody deserves to keep the bulk of what they earn. And most people do because they're able to use the system to take from the minority of wealthy people to pick up the bulk of the tab so they don't have to. How's that been working for them I wonder?
I don't understand what you mean by "giving back"? You mean allowing to keep? So you might provide a job for someone so they can earn their own keep instead of being supported by the few remaining taxpayers?
>>Please explain, using conservative theory, how it is fiscally wise to give back tax breaks to the wealthy when government spending is at a all time high and McCain plans on extending a very expensive war in Iraq and baby boomers are retired or getting ready to retire?<<
What is wise is to keep the funds in the hands of those who produce things with it via job production, investments, etc....and not in the hands of the government who has proven to be not to reliable as far as being good stewards of the taxpayer's money.
And as far as spending goes....of course that should be cut but when has the government ever done that?
Why do you think people want to keep their earnings out of the government's hands? That would be against their best interests according to you. Not to mention it's the government's responsibility to fulfill their obligations under the constitution. Playing Robin Hood, no matter how well meaning is not within the definition.
Why? Because the founding fathers recognized the danger there....how that could quickly spiral out of control. How insightful they were!
>>>I don't care about the football star or the unknown guy down the road.
