I agree. Parents totally at fault. But the people who will really be "screwed" are the tax payers of the state of Massachusetts. I doubt any of these "Mothers" will be going on the higher education. 17 children born out of wedlock now being cared for by the vast Government daycare machine. Why wouldn't you have a baby if you didn't have to pay anything to care for it? They even have daycare in the high school. THAT sends a great message.

I have three daughter, 16,14,12. Not one has ever been on a date and they don't care to be one one. My oldest is first in her class of 600, first in Math and Science and wants to go to MIT. They all compete in sports and the oldest has a part time job. These girls had nothing else to do. They were never challenged in school. Just let them pass. The school expects nothing of them and their parents expect less. The media had NOTHING to do with this. My daughters read the same Media. They think all these people getting pregnant without marriage or at a young age are idiots. My middle daughter was SO disappointed in Tom Brady having a baby and not getting married, she threw her Patriots jersey in the trash.

Don't blame someone or something that doesn't deserve the blame. This rest totally on their parents and themselves

I totally agree all the young celebrities having babies influenced these girls - seriously, what are their parents teaching them?? I was pretty stupid when I was 17 but I can't imagine pulling something like this. What in the world are these girls thinking??

Or that they will just happen to someone else......or that they would never sleep with someone who has a STD....the list goes on and on!
