Is it the movies that glamorize single parenting??

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure
The parents need to sit down with their kids and (here's a crazy idea) PARENT them. We don't need to know WHY they think they have no future...there are girls in far worse conditions that do the right thing every single day
hmm so no pact yet a whole bunch end up pregnant at the same time?
when I was in school (long long time ago) it was considered embarrassing to wind up pregnant in HS.
Why would that many kids get pregnant if it weren't?
That's right.. while I reserve most opinions on stories til they pan out.. this doesn't make sense. There are not that many accidents.. you know?
Nothing else any poster has said more clearly illustrated the gulf between these girls lives, expectations, the "reality" of where they are than this contrast. I've no doubt that at there school there are also groups of girls who would consider it embarassing to become pregnant in high school -- but they aren't in that group.

You've got that right, Rose!
