Everyone needs to sit back and think of the person they are voting for.

I didn't find it beautiful at all. I found it very off putting.

If you are for family - then Obama is your man. He and his wife have a strong, loving, marriage and two beautiful children. McCain divorced his first wife and even he admits he wasn't very nice about it.

Pro-life propaganda isn't beautiful.
We have room in this great nation for religion beyond just Christianity - remember it's God first, country second.
I find most anti-same-sex marriage hateful, although this video was relatively tame.

That's not the way I read into what she said. You read into it differently. But feel free to point me there.

Because I think I better understood what she meant.

We can't very well be doling out salary increases before we consider what our tax liability is going to be.

Hmmm....let's see.....if the business made a $250,000 profit I'm going to have to remember that I only get to keep 35% of that (now anyway). That means I really made $162,500. Of that it's going to cost me another 25K a year to keep my small business health insurance plan in place for me (hypothetical 25 employees), along with other increased costs I face; workman's comp insurance, liability insurance, rent, utilities, communication and accounting expenses, payroll services and other such overhead might take another $10,000 or likely more.

That leaves $127,500 left for the company to pay off last short term loan ($100,000) they had to take to cover the payroll because you know how businesses work right? You always have costs/expenses and THEN you wait to get paid. So now maybe that actual $27,000 can be used to give out some pay raises! But just think how much more could be done had you not had that $87,500 tax bill? Or wait, how much more is it going to be under a President Obama? At least another 5% because you know, small business owners making $250,000 are RICH! LOL! So that $27,000 becomes $14,500 if you're lucky. Because it's very likely all your other costs will be going up as well as those other vendors who you must pay raise their rates to account for the increase in their taxes.

And just who does this hurt the most?

Maybe the next year when there is no money for the pay raise the employees can choose between keeping their health plan or that annual pay raise or bonus. Or maybe they can vote on who to let go so as not to lose out as a group.

You didn't need to bring it up is the point. What did you hope to accompllish by bringing it up? Any number of people could give their money away
