An intern with the Monterey County Republicans took the letter and posted it to the party’s email subscribers under the local party’s letterhead.
The Master letter tries to characterize Obama’s intentions as similar to Hitler’s.
“So why do some of these people justify their votes for you even though they know you are dishonest? Why do they excuse your dishonesty? Because some of these people are frightened about the future, the economy, and their financial security … and you are preying on their fears with empty promises … and because some (especially our young people) are consumed by your wonderful style and promises for ‘change’ like the Germans who voted for Adolf Hitler in 1932. The greed/envy by Germans in 1932 kept them from recognizing Hitler for who he was. They loved his style. Greed and envy are keeping many Americans from recognizing you … your style has camouflaged your dishonesty.”
Brandon Gesicki, the county Republican Party’s political director, called the comparison with Hitler terrible.” He said new procedures would be put in place to make sure emails are only sent out after proper review.
In a press release, the Monterey County Republicans, while disavowing the language of the Hitler comparison, continued to advocate the letter’s message. “This sort of inflammatory language is neither condoned nor encouraged by our party.” However, the press release claimed that the email had “many valid statements.”
“Did we agree with everything in it? Certainly not,” said the group’s Executive Director Katherine Dolbec. “But there is nothing wrong with talking about (Obama’s) character and integrity.”
So the Monterey County Republicans disavow the scurrilous accusation of a Hitler comparison, but still want the reader to consider the comparison of Hitler-like integrity and character. That sounds a lot like throwing political mud at a candidate and then asking why he looks dirty.
So according to you the lord commands you to tithe 10%. Well that means that in fact you are not giving b/c you want to but rather b/c you feel you have to. You claimed in another post that giving b/c you have to is wrong.
This is the comment I was responding to: ""If it gets as bad as that, what can we do? If we speak out against him, he would have our heads. What could you do?"
Can you please tell me how cancelling interviews is 'having our heads"? And more detailed news stories have reported that the reporters were offered space on Joe Biden's plane. They had run out of seats on Obama's plane as his wife and children were joining him in the last days of the campaign. Did you expect his wife and children to fly with Joe Biden? After all, Palin travels with her children all the time so why can't Obama?

Thanks, but I was addressing your claim re: what "Jesus" said about tithing, not Paul and James, etc..
Did you know that Obama graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude and was the Editor in Chief of the Harvard Law Review?
No.
