He has shown such dignity this evening. I loved his speech and have so much respect for him now. Three cheers for McCain. Thanks(McCain) for running and the time you spent in service of our nation.

Here's the thing, Obama's system was tried before with Jimmy Carter. That sent us into a very bad recession in 1980. Imagine what it would do the world's economy now that we're either in a recession or nearing a recession. Do you now understand why Ahmadinejad and Chavez backed Obama? Because our economy is in trouble and they're dancing around in the streets like the Village People. Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollah are praising the fact that our country is in so much turmoil.
An interesting thing to point out about our economy is that yesterday we had a fairly big increase. Now, after Obama's election, it's plummeting.
>>What Obama proposes, "Spread the Wealth around", is socialist/Marxist.
I get where you're coming from, but it's not exclusively socialist/Marxist, nor is it the defining characteristic of either political philosophy. Socialism requires the collective ownership and administration of the production and distribution of goods. I urge you to explain how "spreading the wealth" is an explanation of this world view. (In fact, the subsidization of industry, like oil and agriculture, along with taking over of several financial institutions this fall, is far more akin to socialism.)
In my mind, spreading the wealth is an extension of the golden rule; it is the backbone of ethical living.
I, for one, was pleased to hear that notion, and I'm not a socialist. I just happen to believe that our society works best when those who are less fortunate are given as much stake in our government as those who are more fortunate -- and that happens to line up pretty well with our Constitution, as well.

Sorry, but a little late for that since we are already in a recession under Bush.

As far as I can tell, President Elect Obama does not take issue with home or cyber schooling. He is willing to leave the regulation of those to the states, where such regulation belongs.
I agree. It was good to see that McCain again. >>
I couldn't agree more - I have the utmost respect for the man as a veteran and as person. His comment last night about his most important association to him was his American one sent me into tears of joy. Anyone who has spent time in the Military would readily understand that no matter what - no matter where you are from - no matter what your ethnic or even social background - the one association that means so much is that we are American.

Could be, but I doubt it.
