There is no correlation at all. Everyone is given a chance to vote on a president. Not everyone is given the choice about which holidays are observed. Most people, who don't celebrate Christmas, are forced to take time off for it (if their company clothes), are often told " Merry Christmas", and have decorations all around them.

As an aside, while I do understand complaints about things changing (and how reminiscent that is of recent posts complaining that those gosh darn gay people don't stay in the closet like they used

That's why there should be NO religious displays on government property.

>>... but by only displaying christian symbols, there seems to be a lack of consideration.<<

Surely you understand that Christmas is a "Christian" religious holiday? So the time to display something of a Christian religious nature would be at "Christmas Time".

The objection wasn't that only Christians should be permitted to display a religious display but to the demeaning display allowed by the anti-religious side. The objection would have been as equally strong had that group been permitted to insult a religious display of "ANY" type.

And just forget about tying to say Atheism is a "religion" or that they have some special religious event they hold sacred that is held at the same time as Christmas and commands them to disparage traditional religions during their periods of celebration.

Because even though your writing style was somewhat confusing, I didn't think you meant that statement to be about my Jehovah's Witness friends....as they are Christian.
