If 5% of our citizens have a different/new tax level, how is that all /most of the employers?

Who do you think are the employers? I wouldn't want my employer's taxes being raised because you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how he/she would make up for that, especially in this economy.

McCain brought the fine up twice and Obama never refuted the point. Obama clearly says that it will be mandatory for all parents to insure their children.

<>

But Obama is the one that mandates all parents must insure their children, he said in the debate it doesn't cost that much to insure your children but he didn't way what it costs.

"Pork Barrell Spending

McCain charged that Obama was guilty of driving up pork barrel spending -- government spending on programs that benefit his state of Illinois. McCain said, "While we were working to eliminate these pork barrel earmarks, he voted for nearly a billion dollars in pork barrel earmark projects including, by the way, $3 million for an overhead projector at a planetarium in Chicago, Ill."

TRUE: In July 2007, Obama requested a $3 million earmark for the Adler Planetarium to repair the 40-year-old projector to the Sky Theater, as detailed on his Web site."

The government already mandates you either send your child to school or educate them in someway.

Another point, not really relating to the candidates, but why are all the debates on the eastern side of the country?

You seemed concerned about mandating that all children must have health insurance and you seemed concerned about parents being fined if they don't buy insurance for their children. Maybe I misinterpreted what you were saying.

My opinion is that if parents want to insure their children they should do that. I do have a problem with the government telling people they are required to buy insurance for their children or they face a fine. We can't mandate that people pull their pants up or they will be fined but we can mandate that they buy health insurance or they will be fined. What if someone doesn't want to insure their children, what if it's against their religion?

>>What if someone doesn't want to insure their children, what if it's against their religion?<<

Which religion does not permit its members to purchase health insurance for their children?
