What REALLY seemed insincere to me was McCain's repetition of the phrase,

I have to agree that I'm sick of hearing "my friends". I actually like McCain other than him saying "my friends" too often. I think he's sincere, truly cares about people, loves his country, has sacrificed a lot, is dedicated, is a leader, makes decisions, he's smart, honest, he gets to the point, he's just likable. Obama I feel is arrogant, uses a lot of words to say nothing, doesn't really care about anyone but himself and his career, is dishonest, is better over the phone (as he says), can't deal with a crisis, unable to make important decisions.

I never thought anyone would say Biden speaks in sentences that makes sense. As for Palin, I like pretty beads, she's quick and she's smart, I like her.

Sorry...beg to differ. Yes, McCain served his country in Vietnam. I admire him for that, admire his courage as a POW, admire his instances of

I agree... A lot of people say she's great b/c "she's just like me".. ummmm I wouldn't want someone "just like me" in the 2nd highest position possibly THE HIGHEST.. I want someone who has MANY more qualifications than I have.

I'm seriously done.

I have said in I don't know how many threads now that I take my child to the doctor and pay cash out of pocket for her visits.

I've already said it before, but I'll go slowly.

I pay cash for my treatment.

If you are not up for a debate than it is probably good that you are leaving.

Elissa.. I wasn't "beating up" on you and I'm sorry if you thought I was. I was letting you know what I know and giving my own take on it. I am also uninsured & smack dab in the middle of middle class so it's not like I don't know exactly what you are going thru because I am going thru it too sans the pregnancy. We had to pay $900 out of pocket to have DS's head stitched up after he tripped and hit it on a park bench. I just think Obama's plan will be more likely to get us coverage by expanding the free and discounted programs and lowering the cost than McCain's flimsy 5k/yr and "opening the market" wth-ever that means. And how do you know it will be $800+/mo? It might be that NOW but that price will change. The only question is by how much.

This is exactly the problem I have with the McCain proposal. It seems to be,
