Do you think it was the right time for her to drop out?

If she had made a stronger showing in Iowa (where she grew up and ought to have a "native daughter" edge), and if she had then gone on to score well in other state primaries, but eventually was defeated by another candidate, then Michele Bachmann would be in a better position to be a VP pick. As it is, she didn't do well in Iowa and bowed out after just one state race. Those aren't characteristics which will pick up voters in November.

Things change quickly, huh!?

I could see someone picking her with the same thoughts that McCain may have had in mind when he picked Palin.

Yeah exactly you know it's sort of a shame that women are being picked as a last resort for lack of anyone else like

Primaries are a mechanism for shaking out possible winning candidates from those who don't have a chance. Bachmann should have done better in Iowa. It probably was a major disappointment for her to concede that her campaign would not go forward.

As one who though Sarah Palin was grossly unfit for national high office, I had serious questions about John McCain's judgement in picking her. Given Bachmann's inability to glean votes in Iowa, a candidate who picked her as VP would also be open to criticism over "WHY" he had done so.

I hope not.... It will feel like a token pick more than a well planned move.
