Not only do unions tell their members who to vote for, they also use a large amount of their money paid in dues to support a candidate!

DH is a union member, he gets a recorded call from the union informing him of the candidate that the union has endorsed and asking him to vote.

Wal-Mart can tell their employees to vote Republican all that they want, but inless they follow them into the voting booth they can't tell them who to vote for.
