I'm usually a bit slow with responses... We can choose our friends and associations. We can choose whose home we have a political push off party (and all their wonderful friends) to begin our political career. We can choose who we can rally to help get us elected, no matter how radical their beliefs. It's not likely they're going to believe the truth anyway. But we can't choose our family.
You really are blessed to have such a supportive family. I'm sure it can make for lively get togethers!
"It's time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us. Barack Obama wasn't my choice, but come January 20th, he will be MY President.... I will not seek to see all
I admit it: I've been "spoon fed". Feel better now? (I usually try to refrain from personal insults. I'm more interested in issues. But if you prefer to use your time to speculate on my education and intelligence and gullibility, by all means do so.)

You really DIDN'T read my post, did you? Here's what I wrote in the first post you responded to:
"If we're going to care about "guilt by association" we need to vote every person who supported the president in his mad escapade OUT of office, regardless of party affiliation."
Mr. Bush LIED to congress about WMD's. There were plenty of Americans (all those spoon fed ones) who didn't agree with Congress on this one. Mr. Bush called their position "irrelevant" and started FBI dossiers on them. They were being "un-American" for not agreeing with him and for exercising their right to free speech. The same guy who said he wanted to bring "freedom" to Iraq (after all those spoon fed Americans and EVEN some of them who think that Fox has a liberal bias found out that the WMD's had been totally made up, and started asking questions about we'd killed a lot of people and wasted a lot of money) tried to stifle free speech at home. I guess he hadn't read the Constitution either, at least not the Bill of Rights part.
Ok, I'm uneducated too (if you wish it) and I've never read the constitution (if you wish it also), but that's the great thing about America: even a strikingly ordinary person like myself can take part in the political process. And even a slow person like me can't be fooled ALL the TIME. How 'bout you?
I'm not sure the NYTimes would be unbiased. Maybe by the far-left... I don't know much about the other sources. I haven't read the WaP is a long time. And come on, if it has a liberal or conservative bend it's going to have an propaganda bias! And no, don't go to the Enquirer for your hard news. I'd worry about you then! Besides, the main stream media leans to the left anyway.
I'm watching O'Reilly. He said that moveon.org spending 38million dollars to bring out democratic votes on election day. tsk tsk.
"It's time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us. Barack Obama wasn't my choice, but come January 20th, he will be MY President.... I will not seek to see all
Since when it is a crime to encourage people to vote? Both republicans and democrats try to encourage their bases to vote. Millions will be spent by conservative groups to get their people out to vote too - do you have a problem with that, too - or is it only the dems that shouldnt be out voting?
"If you would bother to read and educate yourself (not just plug into the downloads from the propaganda machine) ..."
"Like I said, read something besides the left wing blogs and listen to something besides CNN and MSNBC. In other words, try to have an open mind"
I am well read, and educated, and no I dont get all my news from the Huffington Post and MSNBC. But Oreilly, Hannity, and a bunch of right-wing bloggers aren't sources for facts and news either. You realize that both of the links you posted - about Obama's so-called radical ties - are from OPINION sections of newspapers. Some advice - if you read the OPINION section you get OPINION, not necessarily fact.
Believe it or not, having an open mind does not mean thinking just like you. I am perfectly able to decide for myself what propaganda is - I dont need your help with that. Hannity - yup, propaganda. Ariana Huffington - yup, more propaganda. CNN - not even close. Just because they dont spend all day talking about right-wing conspiracy theories does not mean they have a liberal bias.
Are you talking to me? No need to be so antagonistic. I'm actually referring back to an earlier message when I mentioned that it's horrible to think of all the money spent on campaigning (between both parties) for the past two years when we have so much need in our country and the world. So many hungry people, without water, the basic necessities, etc.
"do you have a problem with that, too - or is it only the dems that shouldnt be out voting?"
My husband retired after 22 years serving his country in the United States Air Force so that EVERYONE has the right to vote, for YOUR rights, thank you very much. He still works for the Dept. Of Defense making sure that our pilots flying certain aircraft are safe.
It's unfortunate that in posting messages, often times we don't "hear" the manner in which the message was intended. Not everyone is looking for a fight.

I already know all about Keating. That's the best you can come up with? McCain does nothing wrong, tells the truth about it, doesn't try to save his "friend", and that's the horrible contraversial bomb you're dropping. The only reason McCain was even called before the ethics committee was that they didn't want only democrats to interrogate. Yet again McCain impresses me. How funny. Not sure how that compares to Obama's close relationship with Ayers who is a terrorist and Obama has lied about the connection saying that Ayers is just a guy who lives in his neighborhood. Yet again Obama lies, not impressed.

Here's one I haven't seen discussed anywhere:
