Okay, I decided to find out what she called the general and it was McClellan (who was a general in the Civil War).

Oh my gosh! He had no outstanding student laons in 2000? He couldn't have possibly paid them off....a terroist group must have paid for his schooling! They must have paid for his schooling on the promise that he would become president and then....oh my gosh how brilliant..make the US a muslim state!!!!!! What brilliant pre-planning and forethought!!!! * eye roll* People really think that? Wow.....and they say Obama is brain washing people.

That article was truly a very well thought out peice of fear mongering tripe. Kudos to the author and his wild imagination.

Be careful with your sources. Newsmax Media is actually a political organization that promotes conservative ideals. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. But it's not a reputable, independent news outlet any more than Air America is.

Ok,i will

i am not familliar with this "news" agency.

that is why i chose to say "controversy"

I am not saying i believe it, but i do believe that it could be suspicious if he refuses to show how he paid for college

the point was that he (or she) claimed he did have outstanding loans....but then didn't report any loans when he was required to.

Why is it even an issue on Obama's student loans?

>>I am not saying i believe it, but i do believe that it could be suspicious if he refuses to show how he paid for college although he claims it was hard work and loans.

That's fine, but it was presented as a news story. FTR, any time I read Muslim and Obama in the same story, I'm immediately suspect. Quite frankly, I dismiss the rest of the information. No reputable news source would even print those accusations any longer-- they have been debunked a million times over.

Be suspicious -- that's not a bad thing. But it is down right dangerous to include propaganda like this in serious discussion. Information is powerful, and you could inadvertently mislead someone. If you don't believe something, don't post it. Pretty please? *smile*

Don't student loans usually come from the government?
