I got this impression, too. At least Obama acknowledged McCain was right next to him and looked at him, either nodded or shook his head at him, in agreement or disagreement with what McCain was saying. McCain did not do the same to Obama, looking straight ahead or at the moderator, thereby pooh-poohing Obama. McCain acted with Obama like I assume he would act with an (US) enemy head of state. For example, for the longest time the US would not "talk" with Iran.
That is your opinion. Many of us are of the opinion that it is better to have a president that can thoughtfully reflect and decide upon the best course of action among many options as opposed to someone who is so tied to his 'maverick' image that he continually makes impulsive decisions and then can't seem to admit he was wrong or precipitous or learn from those mistakes. When you are the commander in chief of the worlds largest military it is incumbent on you to think BEFORE you react. That just doesn't seem to be McCain's pattern.
Our country will be safer when we don't threaten war with every country we disagree with. IMHO.
For me it was clearly Obama. Of course, everyone will see victory in the candidate they have already chosen. I felt McCain to be very uncomfortable, not looking at the camera or at Obama. When corrected, McCain side-stepped. His unfounded smirking reminded me of GWB.
McCain won this one for sure. Obama stumbles through his answers. McCain has solid answers and solid opinions about all the topics. Your not going to get me to vote for Obama/Biden.
I think McCain won. Obama was rambling and had to keep agreeing with McCain. Obama came across as weak and inexperienced. Like a kid trying to explain himself to his more experienced dad. What
