As always, I thought Obama was crisp, and able to make his points very well. In particular, I like his ideas about diplomacy with other countries. It is true that no stalemate ever gets solved when the parties don't talk. It doesn't matter at what level of the administration talks are held on, talks are talks, and President Bush is definitely going the diplomatic route lately -- albeit quietly. McCain was smarting from the fact that his political ploy of the week -- pretending to affect the bail out talks in Washington to deflect attention from his falling poll numbers didn't work.
I'm a registered democrat and was very impressed with Sen. McCain on Friday night. He was confident and appeared experienced, rather than old. I think Sen. Obama looked cocky. For my vote, McCain got the first round.
I think that John McCain has more experience than Barack Obama. I think he deserves to be President because of his record. Barack Obama does not have that much of a record...and from what I can tell, he hasn't done anything to help the people after he became a Senator. It just seems like he became a Senator so that he could meet the right people to end up being President.
I think obama did a very good job, and wasn't too modest to let people know when he agreed with mcCain. It also sounded that as far as the war Mccain is more knowlegiable about military stratigies, but did not have to act as offensive as he did.
