so if McCain wants to run an ad with that as the clips, he is only telling half the truth.
On a positive note, that's more truth than is NORMALLY in McCain's ads - usually there's NONE. LOL I totally agree with you on the purpose and benefits of stating points of agreement in a debate and find it sad that the concept is lost on so many people but I guess those folks have never learned the art of negotiation or debate.
McCain continues to show the country and the world how much stronger, respectful and more intelligent he is. He never waivered. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Barack. He showed much disrespect for Senator McCain by referring to him by his first name time after time last night. If he can't show a little respect for Senator McCain, how can the country expect him to show respect for the people. This debate just proved many things that I already suspected.

When talking about McCain, Obama called him "Senator McCain". When he was trying to interject he said "Senator" and when he was addressing John McCain himself, he called him "John". McCain never seemed to address Obama even after the moderator repeatedly asked him to do so. He rarely even looked his way. Obama at least seemed to pay attention and looked at McCain while McCain was speaking. John McCain was the one who showed disrespect.

If Senator Obama cannot respect Senator McCain by addressing him properly, then how can we expect him to respect the people of this country. Last night's debate just proved to me what I had suspected all along.
I didn't see a problem with Obama calling McCain "John". They are colleagues. I'm a scientist. I don't call my colleagues but their title and/or last names. "Scientist Smith - what do you think of this data?" That's just a ridiculous criticism, IMO. They are both of the same "ranking" within the US Senate and as such, I think that it is reasonable that they are on a first name basis. McCain refused to even look at Obama. If there was a show of disrespect - it was from McCain's side of the stage. But whatever, I'm not going to convince you, we all see what we want to see anyway. That's the fascinating thing about the human brain.

Funny I thought just the opposite. Obama seemed lost at times. I think his new name should be Barack "John is right" Obama
You puzzle me.
