What Obama means by tax the wealthy
Here's a closer look at how the Democratic candidate defines well-off for different households, and what his proposals will mean for them.

Thanks, Sue - that was nice.
Do you get a salary or officially part of them? Every couple I know (who I know well enough to know about the intimate details)with their own company has the wife "own" 51% and draw a salary regardless of how much or how little she does at the company.
I know I wasn't part of this conversation, but I just want to jump in and say my husband and I have a small business and although my name is on the title of the truck too, I don't draw any sort of wage, and I do all of the bookwork for it. Actually- we barely take anything off for a wage for my DH too, we just live off his hourly
If wealthy is defined by 75K, pat yourself on the back, you've won! If wealth is defined within the context of the thread as greater 250K, not so much.

Didn't mean to imply I thought ALL did- just the ones I know (well enough to know). I think it probably has to do with where I live too- as most I know are beltway bandit types and get a leg up if they can say they are a minority or female owned business.
It is also fiscally smart on the part of the sahp to have ownership of part of the business.
