As the office manager of the birth center, I did handle the payroll and had to deal with the questions from the proprietor as to why our payroll taxes kept going up.

As a daycare provider, I never made enough to be able to afford to supply someone ELSE with a decent paycheck, too.

A sawmill certainly can be considered a small business, if we are talking about small businesses as designated by the federal government.


A size standard is the


largest that a for-profit concern can be and still qualify as a small business for Federal


Government programs.
