What Obama means by tax the wealthy
Here's a closer look at how the Democratic candidate defines well-off for different households, and what his proposals will mean for them.

According to at least one prior poster...the wealthy are to blame for pretty much everything. There was no distinction made between 'trust fund babies', business owners, venture capitalists and/or investors. I'm not sure that some understand there are many types of 'wealthy' in this country. I was simply trying to be all encompassing by using the term wealthy in my last post.

Trust me, we are not considered wealthy, but DH has two businesses and a handful of employees that he is responsible for. We understand how the system works. We also understand how very expensive it is, taxwise.

And as far as Clinton goes...did you forget of a little place called China? (sell out)

LMBO!!!

Even after seeing it...I was gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and watch it. Maybe you truly don't understand how very liberal Moyers is.

And then...I shoulda known.

He brought Cheney in as an example.

Oh yeah...that's when I shut 'er down. THAT'S fair and balanced 'journalism'!!!

How so?

The problem I see with China is that they are buying US Bonds to fund our national debt. I suppose we could stop them from investing in the US, but then the taxpayers would actually have to pay as you go for things like the war in Iraq.

Wouldn't it be easier for your dh if he didn't have to worry about his employee's health care or worry about losing good employees to companies that do provide health care?

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

Trade with China was put above our national security when Clinton was in office. He approved shipment of radiation chips to China (in the mid 90's). These chips can be used for nuclear technology.

The Chinese army also donated money to his campaign in 1996. Pretty fishy, huh?

Nice guy. Great for the country.

Wal-Mart does that because they don't pay their employees enough, and most would qualify for S-Chips or even ACCESS(Medicade). For them to get it through their job, it would cost them about 350 a month if not more to cover their famalies. Try that on 1,000 a month on top of all other normal expenses. Many places want over 500.00 a month for Family coverage. It never used to be that way. HealthCare skyrocketed when Bush got in office.

That's worse than China buying an enormous amount of US debt under the watch of Bush II?
