I posted this question in the thread about national security but it has gone unanswered -

For those supporting McCain, I often see supporters stating national security as a reason for supporting him but why? What

I doubt anyone will give you a reasoned response because his foreign relations/nat'l security plans are not much different from what we have now... we are quickly losing friends in the world due to the way Bush has been mishandling, well, everything in the foreign relations dept. We went from being seen as the world's babysitter to the world's bully very quickly. I have heard so many threats come out of the White House whenever ANYONE does anything the administration disagrees with the list of "people who don't really like us much" is growing everyday. We NEED someone who is willing to sit down & talk with people & not just start singing about bombing them all. We cannot survive as a nation if we pull away & become isolationists. We need good relations with the rest of the world.

You seem offended, and I don't really know why.

Actually, in the diplomatic circles I travel in (and I do, on occassion, sit through meetings with U.S. diplomats who have to deal with good guys and bad guys around the world), the consensus seems to be that Obama would be better for U.S. diplomacy.
