dd's school elected Bush although it WAS close ... I heard those that nickeloden elected kerry

Yes. Nickelodeon did elect Kerry. In another election, Kerry was beat by Dora the Explorer (a worthy opponent).

I thought it was interesting how the numbers of voters decreased as they got older. I wonder if there is something to this? Any thoughts on why enthusiasm for voting decreased in the high school years, which probably carries over to young adulthood. I hope if nothing else this election decreases some of the apathy seen in this country when it comes to voting.

Honestly...........from what I know about Weekly Reader........it's used more frequently in the earlier grades.
