Well, I'm a huge Obama supporter, but I think it could go either way. People are desperate for a change in this country, and it would be a shame if things continued on as they are now. However, people are also afraid of change in this country, so that is why I say it could go either way. What I do is continue to stay informed, and pass on truths when I hear something totally bogus. For the most part, however, I try not to push my opinions on to others. That's the thing about this awesome country...we can all have opinions and we are free to voice them! Something I have found to be helpful is this website:
It discusses the campaign ads and tries to eliminate some of the false claims/stretched truths. It is independent, so there are fact checks on BOTH McCain and Obama.
This election is going to be so exciting!!! I'm obsessed with CNN:) Good luck to you whichever way you vote.
i think something very important to look at is what obama is saying. he is promising that global warming will go down, that our economy will be fixed, and that hell just pull straight out of the war, all with in a course of a term. its unrealistic. maybe i have a different aspect on it because i am military, but my family is given quite a bit of things that if obama wins, we are at risk of losing. but i also think that mccain is being a little more honest than obama, and not making empty promises. obvious ones. for those of you who dont know where you stand abc has this great generator that gives you a series of a set of quotes from the two of them and doesnt tell you who they are, and then tells you who you stand behind more, not the party, the person. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/MatchoMatic/fullpage?id=5542139
I think it is very hard to predict who will win. I am so tired of listening to the pundits... and I'm tired of listening to them spout info from the latest polls. I agree with the writer who cited factcheck. I also just watch C-SPAN sometimes - but only when I'm wide awake! It's important to be informed and really vote with your heart... not just vote for you you think is going to win anyway. Voter complacency is a scary thing.
