In many cases that's EXCACTLY RIGHT!

Quit whinning and count your blessings every single day. It's great for your overall "mental health!"

Apparantly you've not done the reseach?

Remember you made the insinuations, not me. I just agreed that they were dead on right in MANY cases!

Studies do show................but hey, keep blaming others for your misery. Whatever works for you!

once again, uhh ... i never said i was miserable. i never said i had a mental health issue.

but i do think it is erroneous to assume that mental illness has no basis in medical fact. i'm not a medical professional, but mental health issues are recognized by the very website from which you took your reference.

http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/default.htm

"Just as physical health is important, so is good mental health. Still, millions of Americans suffer with various types of mental illness and mental health problems, such as social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, addiction to drugs and alcohol, and personality disorders. Mental illness and psychological disorders have good treatment options with medications, psychotherapy, or other treatments."

a medical professional in this day and age who does not recognize the implications of mental illness or the potential physical causes is seriously out of step with the standard of care. thus the reference to Tom Cruise: he was branded a quack for the same kind of statements you are making. yes, being grateful helps your mental outlook but it cannot overcome severe clinical depression or schizophrenia.

Sorry for the graphics tbut here goes. My mom was a drug addict for a very long time. We didn't have rent money so she let our neighboor sleep with me, when I was 12 years old, so our rent would be paid. Once my brother and I left she began using our sisters the same way. There is a HUGE difference between the two and you will NEVER convience me otherwise, sorry.

Thank you for that fine example of being able to dish it out but not take it! LOL!

Guess I shouldn't have stooped to your version of made up assumptions but you opened the door!
