Can someone nicely tell me the reasons you support Obama?

I just can't figure it out...it SEEMS alot of people support him b/c he's the "popular" choice or because he's black. What is he going to do that benefits you?

Thanks in advance

And just to be clear:

You support laws that would have protected my son's life before he was born.

Obama isn't proposing a universal health plan.

I think there may be different levels of "universal."

~Are you saying those who've murdered/committed heinous crimes didn't blow their chances at a good, decent life because of their bad choices?~

No, I said:

<< For me, that's why I just don't agree with the comparison between soldiers dying for our country & the death penalty.>>

Okay, let's get this straight, then you are against abortion but not pro life when it concerns other situations.

The eye roll was for calling Obama's plan Universal Healthcare, which it is not.

So you aren't pro-life, but ani-abortion.

**In your own words Pro-life to me means Doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. So if the OP chooses to take offense to the term because of it's exclusiveness, so be it.

I know, that's why I said to 'me' means - that's not speaking for anyone else. And of course the op is free to take offense at what she will as that's her choice.

**Many of the lower ranks in the military didn't exactly sign up with stars in their eyes. Many were recruited in low-income areas where they had few other alternatives for employment. And recruiting officers have quotas to fill, so like salesmen and stockbrokers, they can be less-than-honest about what signing those papers can truly entail.

Any who sign up for the military, regardless of why they do - employment, because of a sales pitch, etc.,
