WHY WOMEN SHOULD VOTE.
This is the story of our Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers; they lived only 90 years ago.
![[]](http://webmail.earthlink.net/wam/MsgAttachment?msgid=6252&attachno=1)
Remember, it was not until 1920
that women were granted the right to go to the polls and vote.
![[]](http://webmail.earthlink.net/wam/MsgAttachment?msgid=6252&attachno=2)
The women were innocent and defenseless, but they were jailed
nonetheless for picketing the White House, carrying signs asking
for the vote.

(Lucy Burns)
And by the end of the night, they were barely alive.
Forty prison guards wielding clubs and their warden's blessing
went on a rampage against the 33 women wrongly convicted of
'obstructing sidewalk traffic.'
They beat Lucy Burns, chained her hands to the cell bars above
her head and left her hanging for the night, bleeding and gasping
for air.

(Dora Lewis)
They hurled Dora Lewis into a dark cell, smashed her
head against an iron bed and knocked her out cold. Her cellmate,
Alice Cosu, thought Lewis was dead and suffered a heart attack.
Additional affidavits describe the guards grabbing, dragging,
beating, choking, slamming, pinching, twisting and kicking the women.
Thus unfolded the 'Night of Terror' on Nov. 15, 1917,
when the warden at the Occoquan Workhouse in Virginia ordered his
guards to teach a lesson to the suffragists imprisoned there because
they dared to picket Woodrow Wilson's White House for the right
to vote.
For weeks, the women's only water came from an open pail. Their
food--all of it colorless slop--was infested with worms.

(Alice Paul)
When one of the leaders, Alice Paul, embarked on a hunger strike, they tied her to a chair, forced a tube down her throat and poured liquid into her until she vomited. She was tortured like this for weeks until word was smuggled out to the press.

IMO, basically Obama supporters want the government to be involved in every aspect of our lives, control the healthcare, our guns, the wealthy's money, oil.
Please tell me if I missed anything. I thought we fought for our rights to independence, so why are some of you all for letting Obama take care of your money, your health, your protection? I just don't get it, that's all. >>
DITTO!!!!
You forgot one: OPEN UP THE BORDERS and let all the illegal aliens in so THEY can get free stuff from the AMERICAN'S who actually DO work. But.... this is the Democrats way to get more "poor me, take care of me" voters so the socialist system will keep on going, and going, and going.
arrrghhhh!!!

listening in on your telephone ~~ I have nothing to hide. Do you?? Next time we have a terrorist problem, and they come knocking on your door.... when you dial for help, make sure you press 3 for English because it will not be the native language anymore. They won't knock on my door when they see all the NRA stuff. LOL!
Same-sex marriage ~~ you bet!
Abstinence Only ~~ Abstinence works the best. Then there's no abortion issues.
So the right to privacy has been removed from the Bill of Rights, the
>>That so called diversity that this country has come to accept is the reason 9/11 happened in the first place. <<
All I can say is O---M----G----!

slowroadrunner__So the right to privacy has been removed from the Bill of Rights, the 4th amendment? Do you feel the same way about the 2nd amendment? I don't need a gun, do you?
What about terrorist? Drug dealers? Should the same apply to them?? Chances are so slim that they would be listening into your phone conversations.
The people who own guns illegally and use them for violent acts: those types of people are ALWAYS going to be able to get some type of weapon. I think we are WAY too soft on criminals and drug dealers. Jail time is just a joke -- just another government country club. HEY! sorta like the life they are already used to: handouts from the government, free meals, free place to live. huh! go figure. Anyways.... We do have guns, but we use them for target shooting competitions. They are locked, the safe is hidden, the ammunition is in a different safe (different floor) and also locked. We are probably some of the few responsible owners.

Abstinence ~~ Yes, that's what I "practiced" in HS. In my 4 years of HS and over 550 students, only one became pregnant full term. Abortion was not an option back then. I think that parents should be responsible for a large part of birth control education. Or have the teenagers (girls AND boys) take care of an infant 24/7, and a one year old, and a 4 year old. That's the best birth control.

Honestly?? I think they should be forced to give them up for adoption and 100% give up their parental rights to that child. There are plenty of American couples here in the US that cannot conceive. Why are these couples going to 3rd world countries to adopt?? Because lawyers have to stick their nose into everything and make it difficult to adopt here just to make more money.
